The COVID-19: Protecting African Lives and Economies Report is the culmination of in-depth analyses presented to African Ministers of Finance in two virtual meetings, as well as extensive consultations with key representatives from civil society, international finance institutions and the private sector. Across the globe, COVID-19 cases have surpassed 2 million with over 120,000 having lost their lives at the time of the release of this report. Over 302,467 recoveries have been recorded.
