Fresh Water Discovery to Ease Drought in South African Province?

The discovery of a fresh water resource in Beaufort West by the Council for Geoscience brings "huge relief" to the to the drought-stricken town and Western Cape, Mineral Resources Minister Mosebenzi Zwane has said. This comes after the City of Cape Town moved 'Day Zero', when water access will reach critical levels, to two days earlier from its estimated date in 2018, and the introduction of an aquifer project by non-govermental organisation Gift of the Givers.
