Zimbabwe's Main Opposition on Brink of Split

Fears are mounting regarding the future of the opposition Movement for Democratic Change following a Supreme Court ruling that could have far-reaching implications on the party and its performance in the 2023 elections. Reinstated MDC Secretary-General Douglas Mwonzora has delivered stinging criticism of his long-time nemesis Nelson Chamisa and his allies, saying they faced disciplinary action for failing to comply with the court's decision rendering Thokozani Khupe as the rightful leader of the party.
