FIFA 2026 Qualifiers - Hopes and Disappointments For Africa Teams

Several continental soccer giants secured crucial wins on Match Day 6 of the FIFA 2026 World Cup qualifiers, while others still look ahead to revive their hopes of qualification.

Senegal won 2-0 against Togo in Thiès, the country's third largest city, to keep pace with Groub B leaders DR Congo, who also won by the same margin against Mauritania in Kinshasa.

In Group E, Morocco beat Tanzania 2-0 to maintain their perfect record, while Algeria thrashed Mozambique 5-1 in Group G.
