Nine Police Officers Appear in Court for the 2012 Marikana Massacre

Nine police officers are set to appear in the Rustenburg Magistrate's Court this morning in connection with the violence in August 2012 at Marikana in the North West. The nine are charged with three murders that happened in a clash with miners that also claimed the lives of two policemen on August the 13th, three days before 34 striking miners were killed by the police on the 16th of August.
