HYDRO-LINK is a US-led $1.5 billion (approx.) private sector power transmission interconnection consisting of a 1,150 km, 400kV double-circuit transmission line stretching from Angola's Kwanza River to Kolwezi in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). HYDRO-LINK, in partnership with Swiss-based Mitrelli, who have substantial investments in Angola, will deliver spare capacity and lean energy from Angola's Laúca hydropower plant, and/or the future Caculo Cabaça hydropower plant to underserved customers in both countries. HYDRO-LINK is a Delaware, USA registered LLC.
